I was in deep Alentejo...

The justification presented on the 14th of May, 1994, by the the Prime-Minister to excuse his absence of the congress "Portugal: que Futuro?", promoted by President Mário Soares, became popular. The sentence that causes uproar is: "I was in deep Alentejo, namely in Pulo do Lobo, eating snails, in a café".
